A fire inside
never dowsed by water
of the sky.
Flickers eternally
from every memory.
Yet easily burnt out
by a blow against hope.
Darkened by the tears
of a wound.
To be reignited by the
hand of new.
And offered kindling to
keep moving on.
What am I?
never dowsed by water
of the sky.
Flickers eternally
from every memory.
Yet easily burnt out
by a blow against hope.
Darkened by the tears
of a wound.
To be reignited by the
hand of new.
And offered kindling to
keep moving on.
What am I?
To one that didn't trust
Could you see me
for all I am?
Or will you see
me for all my flaws?
Will you listen
to my words and the
meanings?
Or listen to my voice
and turn away?
I want to love
and be loved.
I want to trust
and be trusted.
But I have loved,
I have trusted,
I have cried,
I have laughed,
I am alive.
I had my sane moments.
Along with the insane.
I find amusement
in drama.
I find fear in
abandonment.
I find beauty
in the night
as I find
horror in the day.
But even I
would give up that
for an eternal way.
My Love Confession
Once upon a day
I hoped to be carried away
But it didn't happen then I confessed
In a way that would be considered reckless
She and I never got along in youth
Her acting on high horse slowly sliding to reality in the social pyramid
Me already mentally matured and questioning any lie or truth
Soon enough I saw her under a new light
As her former title took flight
She became more attractive to my eye
To the point I had stopped asking why
But then that summer day in July I suffered terrible anxiety over the matter
I debated for days on end to this special one
To confess now or never, I took the latter
Thus then after much convincing that
Light the Fuse
Win or lose
Light the fuse
Burn the house, burn the city
How fun but what a pity.
Played the game before, couldn't care either way
Got shut in the door and turned away.
I'm not normal and never will be
I do not fear you so shoo.
I lost round three
Great now go and let me be.
Win or lose
Light the fuse
I lost you won now it ends
Bye to the fun, are we still friends?
I don't know anymore
So I walk out the door.
Win or lose, it's just a game
Let's play
An hope to be the same.
Win or lose
Just light the fuse
I'll sneak out the door
And you won't see me anymore.
But I'll watch your house go up in flames,
Burn he neighborhoo
Becoming Lonesome
The tabby she-cat padded along the tall, wooden connection of fencing silently. Her blue-silver fur glinting in the almost full moon light, mismatched blue and gold eyes glowing with ages of wisdom despite her youthful beauty. The night was chilled with a gentle late spring breeze, stars twinkled and glittered the sky reflecting in her blue eye. The she-cat took in a breath and exhaled a puff of smoke. Dawn was soon to break, the grey light pushing the canopy of royal blue along the horizon.
"'S a little early ta be up, ain't it young'un?" A hoarse voice asked from the inside of the fence. The tabby looked down at a scrawny tortoise elderly
